The PEER 150 CMO Institute
The CMO Institute is an executive level program designed for high potential marketing executives looking to develop and enhance their leadership skills. We are unique in that we focus specifically on CMO Leadership challenges, rather than technology, sales or general leadership as do many other programs. The CMO Institute provides up-and-coming marketing executives with an insight to the skills, techniques and disciplines of the CMO role. Potential participants range from VP and Director-level marketing executives from large organizations, along with small to mid-size company CMOs and VPs. Client/agency relationship models have undergone significant transformation over the years. Sometimes they result in a long-lasting relationship; building sustainable, iconic brands. Other times, they result in catastrophe, hurting both the partnership and the business. The ideal relationship can result in great accomplishments for both the agency and the client – besting your competitors and building meaningful, sustainable brands. Ultimately, agencies can be among a CMO’s greatest assets. In a constantly evolving market, how can you ensure it will be one of yours?

12:30 pm – Why Millennial Marketing Sucks
Today’s companies are acutely pressured to adapt to the new and growing group of consumers and taste-makers known as the Millennials. Traditional, and many antiquated organizations, often scramble to understand what makes this rising group of consumers tick.
In his session, Umang Shah will explore situational marketing versus relational marketing and uncover how to move away from the superficial “suck factor” of most college and millennial marketing into actionable and meaningful value. Many millennials seek socially conscious changes and are uniquely tuned into how to disperse these insights amongst their socially networked peers.
